GVHS Annual Mock Crash

This morning the company participated in Garnet Valley High School’s annual Mock Crash. The Mock Crash is a part of the high school prom week activities. The Mock Crash informs students about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. The Mock Crash included students and actors from the Media Theater who staged the crash as realistically as possible. Additional first responders included Concordville (59), Riddle Hospital EMS, Pennsylvania State Police and The Bethel Township Police Department. No Caption Vehicle Fire at Booth's Corner Farmer's Market

Friday evening May 18th just before 9pm the company was dispatched to the Booth’s Corner Farmer’s Market for a vehicle fire. Squad and Engine 66 with 9 members both made the response. Upon arrival a small engine compartment fire was encountered with a melted hood latch. Crews accessed the engine compartment, extinguished and were available within 30 minutes. House Fire on Foulk Road

Board of Director Matt Hills Jr., May 11

This morning around 10am the company along with Concordville (59), Boothwyn (40), Ogden (55), Chester Heights (71), Rocky Run (46), Medic 66 (Crozer EMS) and the Lower Chichester (39) Rapid Intervention Team were dispatched to the 3100 block of Foulk Road for a house fire.

Truck 66 (FF Z. Hunter) arrived on scene with smoke showing. Truck 66’s crew was advised of an active kitchen fire and placed a 1 ¾ hose line in service. Engine 59-2 traveling south on Foulk Road had access to the closest hydrant located at Foulk Road and Arbor Drive and dropped a 5 inch water supply line to Truck 66.

No Caption Update: Possible Child Luring

5/8/18 1500hrs Update-The Pennsylvania State Police Media Barracks updated that the suspected child luring that occurred on Friday evening in Chester Heights Borough has been investigated and determined to be unfounded

Information from the Pennsylvania State Police Media Barracks regarding two incidents of possible child luring. The information is as follows:

On Friday evening a supposed Amazon delivery man approached a 15 year old female at her residence on Willits Way, Chester Heights Borough. He was persistent in delivering a package despite the 15 year old not expecting a delivery. The male left and it was later confirmed that no package was scheduled for delivery.

Outside Fire on Foulk Road

Saturday evening May 5th around 7:30pm as Engine 66 was returning from a brush fire call on Zebley Road the company was dispatched to the 2000 block of Foulk Road for a trash fire. While enroute Engine 66 was advised several calls were being received including calls of exposure issues. With reports of exposure issues Captain 66 (M.Natrin) requested Concordville and Boothwyn (who were returning from a prior call) be added to the response.

Engine 66 arrived with a large scrap pile and boat involved, secured their own supply line and placed a 1 ¾ hose line in service. Bethel units were committed for 1 hour before returning to station to clean and restore equipment. Thank you to Concordville ... (Full Story & Photos)
