Passing of 60 Year Active Member Charles H. Kitselman

Charles H. Kitselman Jr., age 83 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on March 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Charles H. Sr. & Florence Taylor Kitselman, he had been a resident for the past 54 years in Bethel Twp., PA. Charles served in the Army and later received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University. Charles retired from Dupont Co. after 36 years where he was a Drafting Engineer. He was an active member of the Bethel Fire Company for 60 years where he served in many capacities including Fire House Chaplain and Fire Police Captain. He was also devoted to his church, Elam United Methodist Church where he served as the Lay Leader. Charles had many hobbies, he enjoyed gardening, trains, woodworking, softball, golf and was known as an avid Phillies fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Norma Lynn Layne & Deborah L. Macleary. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn L. (Fleetwood) Kitselman, a daughter, Diane Walheim and her husband Jon, 2 sons-in-law, Thomas Layne & David Macleary, and 8 grandchildren, Samantha Riemenschneider (Mike), Kimberlee Jones (Andrew), Brenda Layne (Troy Maney), Danielle, Lauren, Matthew, Nicole & Brian Walheim. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening, 7pm-9pm at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA and also on Monday morning at the Elam U.M. Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd., Glen Mills, PA from 9:00-9:45AM. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00AM at the church. Interment, Elam Church Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Elam U.M. Church or the Bethel Fire Co. #1, 3737 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
