Drafting & Tanker Operations Drill
BFC, March 29
Saturday morning, March 29th, the department along with Concordville (59) & Chester Heights (71) participated in a drafting and tanker operations drill. Drafting operations are primarily utilized in non-hydrant areas and involve drawing water from a portable tank, creek or pond. Tanker operations involve a tanker dumping its water into a portable tank on the scene of an incident and then proceeding to a site to refill the tanker and then shuttle water back to the scene. Engine & Truck Assist Claymont (NCC 13)
BFC, March 24
Monday evening, March 24th at approximately 1800 hours, the company was dispatched to assist Claymont (NCC 13) on a residential structure fire. Claymont units arrived and reported fire showing from the garage extending into the residence. Engine 66 made the response and arrived as the third due engine, securing a secondary water supply and stretching an attack line. Engine 66 assisted with fire suppression in the garage. Truck 66 also made the response and assisted on the roof with opening up for the engine companies. Bethel crews operated for two hours before being released by command. Santa Claus to Visit Bethel Township
BFC, December 02
Monday evening December 9th & Tuesday evening December 10th beginning at 6 PM the company will escort Santa throughout Bethel Township neighborhoods. The attached image lists the neighborhood schedule. For safety reasons, Santa will not be stopping on main roads (Foulk Road, Garnet Mine Road, Naamans Creek Road, Route 322, Bethel Road, Concord Road, Chichester Avenue, Chelsea Road, Kirk Road, Pyle Road, Ebright Road & Zebley Road). This schedule is subject to change if we need to answer any emergencies while escorting Santa. Any schedule changes will be communicated on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages. Santa Letters
BFC, November 25
Santa's helpers notified us a mailbox will be dropped off in front of the firehouse Friday, November 29th. Please feel free to drop your letters to Santa off so our members can help get them to Santa! Parents please print your child's name clearly on the outside of the envelope. Bethel Township residents only will receive a response from Santa! The last day to drop off letters is Saturday, December 14th. See the attached flyer photo for more information.
