Sunday August 12th the company was invited to attend the annual Bethel Township Corn Boil held from 1600hrs to 2000hrs on the grounds of the Bethel Springs Elementary School. The corn boil is an annual event free to Bethel Township residents. The corn boil is organized by the Bethel Township Park and Recreation committee and Bethel Township Board of Supervisors. Residents enjoyed corn on the cob, hot dogs, drinks, games and desserts. Activities included sack relay races, face painting, moon bounce and an inflatable slide.
The Bethel Township Preservation Society offered residents historical information and displayed historical pictures. In addition to the fire company the Bethel Township Police Department and Medic 66-7 (Crozer EMS) attended the event. Local businesses contributed to the corn boil including Dr. Tim A. Martin & Associates, Shemin Nurseries and Century 21 The Real Estate Store. Fire Company President Bob Bardsley provided use of his DJ equipment. Thank you to the Bethel Township Park and Recreation committee and Board of Supervisors for the invitation.
