Saturday morning May 31st just before 0400hrs the company along with Concordville (59), Green Ridge (63), Chester Heights (71), Aston-Beechwood (72), Medic 66-7 (Crozer EMS) and the Claymont (NCC 13) Rapid Intervention Team were dispatched to 1200 block of Brookstone Drive in Bethel Township for a building fire.
Truck 66 with a crew of 5 under the command of Chief Mike Heacock (66-9) arrived on scene via Garnet Mine Road with a 3 story end of the row townhouse, fire thru the roof and dropped their own supply line. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the building. Truck 63 arrived and with Truck 66 began setting up an aerial attack on the fire building with crews checking the exposure buildings for fire extension. Engine 66-3 arrived on scene via Foulk Road and dropped a secondary water supply. Engine 71 supplied Truck 63 and Engine 72 supplied Truck 66. Responding crews worked on scene for approximately 3 hours holding the fire to the original fire building. This was the first of 7 calls Bethel Crews would answer throughout the course of the day.
