We recently mailed out our 2024 annual fund drive. For almost 80 years, the Bethel Township Hose Co. No.1 has provided emergency services to the residents of Bethel Township. Our department is 100% volunteer. Donations we receive are critical to supporting our ability to serve our community and this year is no exception. We rely on fund drive donations to assist with covering day-to-day expenses including apparatus fuel, apparatus maintenance, utilities, equipment maintenance, insurance, and building maintenance. When available we apply for applicable state and federal grant funding opportunities. In addition to full-time jobs and families, our members respond to over 400 calls per year, participate in training, keep up on required certifications, attend community events and conduct fire prevention presentations/tours. Volunteer opportunities are available in all areas of our fire department and are not limited to just firefighting. We can always use help with fundraising, building maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, etc.), and fire prevention.
